 |
| A
multiple conductor cable that is custom manufactured
to eliminate costly labor.
|
|
| Bundled
cables can be made with various single conductor
wires and communication cables. |

 |
| Permanently
changing the color of a single conductor wire.
|
|
| This
process is most effective on PVC type wires (i.e.
MTW) and fiberglass jacketed silicone wires. Used
primarily by OEM/MRO customers. |

 |
| Mechanical
attachment of a support wire to a wire or multiconductor
cable.
|
|
| Lashing
is a cost savings method of hanging a non-standard wire
or cable outdoors. By having cable lashed at the
factory the contractor eliminates a portion of his labor.
The contractor must properly secure and reinforce
the cable and support wire during installation. Failure
to do so could result in "sagging" over time. Lashing
is usually done with galvanized steel wire. |

  |
| Apply
permanent color dye to a single conductor insulated
wire or cable either longitudinal or spiral depending
on the outer diameter |
|
| Striping
is frequently required by panel builders and/or assembly
houses when the number of connections exceeds solid
colors. |
|
| Other
Uses |
-
Phase identification |
| |
-
Differentiate two similar cables in the same tray
or conduit |
| |
-
To duplicate European wire codes
(i.e. green with yellow trace ground wire.)
|
 |
 |
| Capabilities |
-
Apply a spiral stripe |
| |
-
Up to 3 stripes on 1 cable |
|
-
Ability to stripe numerous insulation and jacketing
compounds |

| Twisting
together any number of wires to form a unified grouping
of wire. |
|
| Twisting
is a process which traditionally leads to jacketing
of cable. However, some applications do not require
(or cannot function with) an overall jacket. For example,
temporary lighting wire for construction sites.
